Charlotte M. Lanckton, 90, of Maroa, died Friday, April 21, 2017 in Decatur.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, with Pastor William K. Abbott and Pastor Brock Abbott officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. Thursday in the Church. Burial will follow in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Charlotte was born Northeast of Hammond, Il in October of 1926, the daughter of Walter and Maurine Sanders. She was a member and the secretary for Pilgrim Lutheran Church for over 30 years. She was a member of the church quilting club and the church Choir. She also was a member of Meals on Wheels and the Red Hat Society. Charlotte married Glenn E. Lanckton in August of 1976 and he preceded her in death in November of 1993.
Charlotte was survived by her daughters Beverly Peifer of Sebring, Florida and Sharon (Edward) Phillips, Sr.; grandchildren John Peifer, James Peifer, Kenny Peifer, Debra (Larry) Wolfhope all of Florida and Richard (Lisa) Phillips of Maroa; 6-great grandchildren and 6 great -great grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Grandsons Robert Peifer and Edward Phillips, Jr. and a brother Gerald Sanders.
