David Lee “Dave” White, 63, died Sunday, September 1, 2019, in his residence in Decatur, IL.
There will be private family services at a later time. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting with the arrangements.
Dave was born in Decatur, IL in May of 1956, son of Robert White and Dorothy White. He attended Eisenhower High School; worked in manufacturing at SC2 Services and Wagner’s Casting. Dave was an outdoorsman who liked fishing and football (especially the SF 49ers). He was a country music fan as well as a NASCAR fan.
Dave is survived by his former wife, Debbie; son, Derek White; Daughters, Chelsea White-Crank (Michael), and Lindsey White-Marquardt (John); mother, Dorothy M. White; step-son, Andy Evans; siblings: Sheila O’Dell, Linda Walker, Bobby White (Sue), Mike White (Lynette), Randy White (Nancy) and Larry White (Gina). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews all of whom he loved!
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. White.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Cancer Care Specialist of Central Illinois, especially Dr.’s Esparaz and Kottwitz, also to the DMH Hospice for their care and compassion for Dave.
