Dianna was born in December of 1957 in Decatur, daughter of Mitchell and Dorothy Grigsby. She attended St. Teresa and Eisenhower High Schools. Dianna worked at Pershing Estates as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her last employment was with Dors providing home care service and also a Hospice Care provider for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved her family, siblings, their three children, grandkids and great grandkids. She received her high school diploma from Faith Community Assembly in 2009. That is where she dedicated her life to the Lord, where she was baptized, served on the women community cleaning, decorating, ushering and orchestrated church community rummage sales until her health condition change would no longer allow. She always invited people to church and she loved the Lord.  She loved her kids, grandkids and nieces and nephews. She loved traveling, watching Dr. Charles Stanley, Gun Smoke and Westerns. She loved mowing grass, sewing and making clothes, growing flowers, plants, cooking, barbecuing, helping others, gospel music and reading. Dianna was a wonderful soul.

Dianna and Leon Jackson met in their youth and eventually formed a lifelong union and companionship out of which they had a son, Leon Powell Jackson Jr. She also leaves behind two other sons, Terry Grigsby and Trustin Grigsby and a host of grand and great grandchildren.

Leon Jackson Sr., loved and cared for her until she passed away joining her mother Dorothy, father Mitchell and brother Michael Grigsby. She has one surviving sister, Deborah Grigsby.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for the care given to Dianna.
