Don was born in December of 1933, the son of John Nathan Colyer and Mary Geraldine Wellmuth in Aurora, IL. Don’s education was completed in Aurora and Naperville, IL. He served our country in the Marines. Don was employed at Janes Cleaners and Waite’s Cleaners for 37 years. Don married Kathy Ralston in February of 1981.

He was noted for being fun and funny as well as very caring and loving. Don was glad he was around to see the Cubs win the World Series. He always loved visiting and vacationing with family and spending holidays with family. His favorite activities were Cubs baseball, vacations with best friends Earl & Greta White and playing Bingo. He loved Elvis and country music. I know Don is happy now in Heaven along side his best friend in the world, Earl White, and watching to see what trouble Greta and Kathy can get into.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Kathy Smallwood; mother-in-law, Lou Drewes; and nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded by his parents; two sons, one daughter, one grandson; one brother, one brother-in-law, father-in-law and mother-in-law.

Please sign the family guestbook.
