Evelyn Louise Reynolds of Decatur died at 9:41 p.m. Thursday December 22, 2016 in Heartland Care Center.
Funeral service to celebrate her life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2016 at First Church of the Nazarene (1177 W. Hickory Point Road, Decatur, IL. 62526) with Pastor Glenn Baker and Pastor Rich Ratts officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Decatur Christian School. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Evelyn was born in August of 1922 in Salem, IL, daughter of Halla and Eva Lulu Ray. She graduated in 1940 from Salem High School. Evelyn was a dental assistant for Dr. J.C. Olendorf for twenty-five years. She was a member of Forsyth Baptist Church. She married Raymond Reynolds on January 1, 1942 and he preceded her in death in September of 1970.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Sterling) Kitchings of Canberra, Australia, Jim (Mary Kay) Reynolds of Decatur; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ross) Wiedo of Taylorsville, KY, Brian Reynolds of Louisville, KY, Elizabeth Shuff of Decatur; great granddaughter, Hailey Rae Wiedo; sisters, Mary Davis, Dorothy Thompson, and Pat True.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
