James William Ellis II, 51 of Boody, Illinois died at 12:17 am. Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A family led time of gathering with friends and family will be 2-3 pm Saturday, February 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Macon (354 S. Wall Street Macon, Illinois). Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family with the arrangements.
James was born in March of 1969 in Decatur son of James and Lorna Ellis. He attended Blue Mound Schools and received his GED. James began training in Martial Arts in his early teens and was a 3rd degree Black Belt and a Martial Arts Instructor at DEV. He also was a school bus driver and a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, archery longbow and recurve, and loved older muscle cars. Guitar building and collecting was his hobby and he always wanted to start building his own brand of guitar. He loved people and had many friends.
Surviving is his son, James Ellis III, parents, Jime and Lorna, brothers, Corey and Keith, sister Rachael, Grandmother Cox, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his best friend since junior high school Randy Young.
He loved 80’s Rock & Roll “Can’t be King of the World if you’re slave to the grind”
