John Richard Ruch 1946-2022

John Richard Ruch, 76 of Decatur died Monday October 31, 2022, in Fairhaven’s Senior Living Center.

A graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery Springfield on Thursday November 17, 2022, at 11:00 am. The Macon County Honor Guard will provide Military Rites. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Center of Central Illinois. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting with the arrangements.

John was born in Decatur in January of 1946, son of Allen and Gladys Ruch. He grew up in Cerro Gordo and graduated in the Class of 1964 Cerro Gordo High. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a forklift operator for PPG.

Surviving is his sister Jeanne (Lynn) Bodkin, brother, Charles Ruch two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynda White and nephew Matthew White.
