A. Rosetta Henderson went home to her Heavenly Father on March 8, 2017.\n\nFuneral services celebrating Rosetta’s life will be at Calvary Southern Baptist Church at 12:00 noon Saturday March 11, 2017 with Mitch Flesch officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the service. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery following the service. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nA. Rosetta Henderson was born north of Dahlgren, IL in October of 1934, daughter of Charles William Wangler and Dorothy Marie Wangler. Rosetta married Robert V. Henderson in December of 1949, at the tender age of fifteen. In April of 1950, they hitch hiked to Wyoming to work on a cattle ranch. Bob had to take her to town and buy her a cookbook with pictures on how to bake bread. They raised five sons.\nShe was a member of Calvary Southern Baptist of Decatur for many years. She also belonged to the Arthritic Kitchen Band of Arthur and red hat glitzy chicks of Macon. She and Robert spent many hours showing her quilts, singing and square dancing at several nursing homes. Rosetta retired from Marvel Schebler and St. Mary’s Hospital.\nSurviving are her husband of 67+ years and five sons, Charles and Rev. Michael (Tina) of Cerro Gordo, IL., John Robert of Jacksonville, IL., Jim (Deb) of Benton Harbor, MI., Paul (Pam) of Argenta, IL., and one sister, Doris Glover of McHenry, IL., seven grandsons, Steven, Casey, AJ, Bo, Chris, Doug, Dillon, one granddaughter, Amanda, two great-great grandsons, three step-grandsons, one step-granddaughter, six great granddaughters, two great grandsons, several step-great grandchildren and one step-great-great grandson.\nShe was preceded by her parents and one grandson, Kelly.
