Alberta Lucille Richardson, 87 of Decatur passed away in her home on Saturday April 6, 2024, with her family by her side.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:30 am Thursday April 11, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Macon, IL. with Pastor Ed Cain officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to service time on Thursday also at the church. The burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery Decatur. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is handling the arrangements.

Alberta was born in Decatur, Il; in March of 1937, the daughter of Florence E. Russell. Alberta worked in the school cafeteria for Aramark. She married Stanley “Rich” Richardson in July of 1952, and he preceded her in death in November of 2013.

Surviving are her children, Alberta L. Brown, Stanley (Nancy) Richardson, Sid (Jackie) Richardson, Shelby (Lori) Richardson, brother Larry Russell, sisters Karen Nevius and Sharon Ross, grandson, Seth (Amanda) Richardson, granddaughter, Lisa Brown (Adam Mitchell), great grandchildren, Adalyn and Saxon, step granddaughters, Bobbie (John) Fritz, Robyn (Nick) Perry, step great grandchildren, Garrett Fritz and Ciera Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother Lewis and son-in-law, Mark Brown.
