Anna Julia Bray, 92 of Decatur passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.\n\nFuneral service to celebrate Ann’s life will be 11:00 am. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church (345 Main Street, Mt. Zion, IL.) with Rev. Mike Wakeland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service time at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\n\nAnn was born in March of 1924 in Decatur the daughter of Gus and Anna Tanzyus. She graduated from Decatur High School class of 1942. Ann worked as a secretary for Mt. Zion High School, J.L. Simmons Construction and retired at the age of 80 from Millikin University. She was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church.\n\nSurviving are her children, Jeff ( Sandra) Bray of Decatur, Jennifer (Jack) Davis of Bloomington, Joel (Kathy) Bray of Mt. Zion, grandchildren, Brian Davis, Laurie Laver, Rachael Bray, Jessica Bray Skinner, Colton Bray and Lucas Bray, great grandchildren, Jesslyn Rose Skinner, Abigail Rose Davis, Brayden Thomas Laver, Isabelle Grace Davis, Dylan Jacob Laver, Madelyn Claire Laver, Andrew James Davis, Mailee Thorp, Kimble Thorp and Gunner Bray, eight nephews and three nieces.\n\nAnn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Edward and Robert Tanzyus, sisters, Helen Vanskike and Millie Cutts, daughter, Jill Lynette Bray and granddaughter Miranda Jill Bray.
