Beth Ann Grimes, 89 of Decatur passed on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A visitation to celebrate Beth’s life will be held at 10 am on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care (2442 North Route 121 Decatur, Illinois 62526). A graveside and burial will follow services at 11:30 am at Graceland Cemetery (2091 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur, Illinois 62526). Memorials can be made out to charity of donor’s choice. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Beth was born in July of 1937, in Tiskilwa, Illinois daughter of Eldon and Esther Jay. She worked for Decatur Electronic, where she was part of the radar detector assembly team. In 1987, Beth married Ron, and together they shared more than 30 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. Beth found joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time with her family, being outdoors with her hands in the garden or bird watching, and her love for her favorite animal the koala bear. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her sons; Ted Campbell Jr., Roger (Tina) Campbell, Barry (Tina) Campbell, and Jeff (Michelle) Campbell, sister Joyce (Jerry) Derby of Neveda, stepchildren; Brian (Val) Grimes, Dorinda Mormino, Suzi Randall, Rhonda (Peter) Graper and Stephanie Eisenmenger, eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Preceded by her parents and husband Ron.
