BettyJo Ann Hendrickson, 81 of Decatur passed away at her home at 10:42 pm. Monday November 18, 2024.

A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 pm Sunday November 24, 2024, at Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care (2442 N. Route 121 Decatur, IL. 62526). A private family entombment will be on Monday in the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery. The memorial service will be 2:00 pm. Monday November 25, 2024, at The Crusaders Church of Decatur (3245 N. MacArthur Road Decatur, IL. 62526). Memorials may be made to The Macon County Animal Shelter. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

BettyJo was born in January 1943 in Canton, IL., the daughter of Leroy and Ruth Ritter. She graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in Decatur. She enjoyed bicycling and was a member of the Prairie Avenue Cycling club. She met William Edward Hendrickson at a YMCA dance and would not allow him to dance with anyone else but her. They were married on October 1, 1966. She loved traveling with Timi’s Tours.

Surviving is her husband Ed Hendrickson, daughters, Mary (Tom) Hearnley of West Palm Beach, Florida, Becky Monska of Decatur, sister, Kathleen (Bill) Anderson of Mt. Zion, nephews, Billy (Susan) Anderson, Jim (Deana) Anderson, several great nieces and nephews and her pet dog Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, Rob Monska.
