Beverly Novak

Beverly "Jean" Novak 73 of Decatur died 8:20 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 6, 2006) in her home with her family by her side.

At Jean's request a graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 10th) at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL. There will be no visitation. Her family request casual attire. Memorials may be made to DMH Hospice. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Jean was born in August of 1932 in Decatur the daughter of William T. & Tillie B. Berner Leisher. She graduated from Decatur High School and D.M.H. Nursing School. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Decatur Memorial Hospital. Jean was an avid Golfer. She married Jesse Novak April 25, 1954, at 1st United Methodist Church of Decatur.

Surviving are her husband; Jesse, children; Stephen Wayne Novak, of Decatur, Cathe Lyn Kellogg & husband John of Oreana, Eric Alan Novak of Decatur, Cynthia Ann Warner & husband Kevin of Forsyth, grandchildren; Lyric Novak, Paige Novak, Shannon Kellogg Sanderlin & husband Cory, Ashton Kellogg, Haley Warner, brother; Richard Leihser & wife Barbara.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Sobol, Dr. Tener, Dr. Elliot and the DMH Hospice nurses for all their love and care for Jean during her illness.
