Billie Jene Cox, 96 of Decatur passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in her home.

She was born in September of 1929 in Livingston, Illinois daughter of William and Ester Andrews. Billie married Loren Cox in May of 1946 and together they raised their six children until he passed away in 1977. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by her children; Lorna (Jim) Ellis of Boody, IL, Valerie (Steve) Merritt of Decatur, IL, Mark (Becky Karakachos) Cox of Blue Mound, IL and Lisa (Gary) Iler of Moweaqua, IL, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded by her parents, husband, Cathy Gritton and Jim Cox.
