Visitation With Family and Friends Saturday, July 31, 2021 Visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Salem Baptist Church 2650 South Taylorville Road Decatur, IL 62521 Graveside Service Celebrating Billy's Life Macon County Memorial Park Harristown, Illinois Billy Gerald Young, 84, of Decatur died Monday, July 26, 2021 in Fairhaven’s Nursing Home. Graveside service to celebrate Billy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Macon County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2 hours before the service at the Salem Baptist Church (2750 South Taylorville Road Decatur, IL. 62521). Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Billy was born October 4, 1936 in Peoria, Illinois, son of Carl and Emma Young. He was a service repairman for Sears. Billy enjoyed bowling, raising pigeons, and time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Mellie Young; sons, Terry (Cynthia) Young and Randy Young of Boody, IL; grandkids, Collin Young, Drake and Hannah Young; sisters, Sharon Griffin and Rhonda Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Young and sister, Carlene Bradshaw.
