Bonnie Lee Hastings, 85, of Decatur passed on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Rose Garden of Pana.

A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie’s life be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at New Beginnings Church of God (2606 North Route 121 Decatur, Illinois 62526). A visitation with family and friends will be held an hour before services at the church as well. Pastor Scott Bons will be officiating. Burial at Glen Havens Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Taylorville, Illinois. Memorials can be made to the New Beginnings Church of God. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Bonnie was born in March of 1940 in Taylorville, Illinois, daughter of Roy and Ruth Moats. She graduated from Taylorville Highschool and worked as an administrative assistant to the superintendent in Macon and Piatt County schools. Bonnie was a member of New Beginnings Church of God and a member of the Red Hats Club. She married Richard Hastings in 1958 and together they raised their four boys until he preceded her in 2006. Bonnie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons; Richard (Sue) Hastings, Brett (Gary) Hastings and Brian (Lisa) Hastings, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Preceded by her parents, husband and son Randy.
