Carol Faye Cuttill, age 83 of Decatur, died 5:45 am. Thursday August 28, 2025, at The Loft of Rock Springs Nursing Home.

A Graveside Service to Celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery (South Franklin Street Road and Mt. Gilead Road on the south side of Decatur). Pastor Dave Brown will be officiating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Alzheimer’s or Dementia Research. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Carol was born in April of 1942, in Decatur, the daughter of Alden L. and Fay Collins McLemore. She attended Stephen Decatur High School. Carol worked in Electronics Manufacturing for General Electric and Kroger in the Mt. Zion Store. She loved Country Western Music, especially Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn.

Surviving is her husband, L. Wayne Cuttill, of Decatur, son, Christopher Hill of Decatur, daughters, Rita Hill (Bill) Schefelbein of Tremont, IL., Kim Hill (Mark) Dillow of Bement, IL., step-children, Theresa Webb, Rod (Melinda) Cuttill, Kevin (Roxy) Cuttill, Sheila Dicken, Cindy (Kurt) Webb, Eric (Karen) Cuttill, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers, Tim, Jack and Brian McLemore, sister, Kathryn McLemore.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Grubbs.
