Chad Eugene “Pookow” Overlin, age 37, of Decatur died Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Springfield Memorial Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.\nFuneral service will be 12:00 noon Monday, June 19, 2017 with visitation two hours before at First General Baptist Church (2825 S. Baltimore Ave., Decatur, IL). Pastor Randall Garrett will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Gilead Cemetery with procession led by “Remembering the Ride Motorcycle” by Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care. Memorials may be made to the family or the donor’s choice.\nChad was born in February of, 1980 in Decatur son of Victor L. Overlin and Deanna Huffaker. He attended schools in Macon and Mt. Zion, IL. Chad worked for HTH Contracting Services. Chad’s loves in life were his daughter Libby and his family. He also loved the color Red, and anything that had an engine in or on it. Attendees are encouraged to wear something red to the service.\nSurviving are his daughter, Libby Fisher; his parents; brothers, Victor Lee Overlin, Anthony Shane Overlin, Casey Overlin, Dylan Clark; step-mother, Denise Roberts; nieces, Kirsten Anderson, Kaitlin Overlin; nephews, Victor Trey Overlin, Tyler Overlin, Jaxon Overlin; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special companion Jamie Justice, and grandfather Merritt Overlin.\nHe was preceded in death by his loving grandmother and special friend, Ruth Elaine Brozio; grandfather, Don Brozio; grandparents, Gene and Janet Huffaker.
