Charles Stine

Charles Curtis Stine 45 of Blue Mound died Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2006) at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday Sept. 30th at New Beginnings Church of God 2606 NW Route 121 Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery Hickory Point Township. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund for Chuck Stine C/O Land of Lincoln Credit Union.

Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Charles was born in June of 1961 in Clinton, IL., son of Charles & Mary E. Sumpter Stine. Charles graduated from Millikin University and was currently working on his masters degree at Lincoln Christian College. He was an Ordained Minister with the Church of God. He formerly worked for the Illinois Department of Human Services in Decatur and was currently employed by AFSCME as a coordinator for their upward mobility program. Charles was an accomplished writer and was proud of several published articles.

He married Kimberly S. Leslie June 3, 1989, in Decatur. Together they have four daughters, Lauren, Lindsay, Leah, & Larissa all of Blue Mound, also surviving are his Parents; Charles & Mary Stine, brother; Steve Stine and his wife Debbie, nephew; Steven Stine, niece; Angie Stine, brother & sister-in-law; Rodney & Angie Gant, nephew Ryan Gant and mother-in-law; Maidie Leslie all of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his Father-In-Law Gene Leslie and his grandparents.

Charles was a loving husband, father, son and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
