Claire Pritchett Obituary (2017)

Agnes “Claire” Pritchett, 91 of Illiopolis, IL, passed away at 4:49 am. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family. A funeral service to celebrate Claire’s life will be held at 10:00 am. Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Christian Church of Illiopolis (304 Anne Street, Illiopolis, IL 62539). Visitation will also be at the church Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Claire was born in Litchfield, IL in February of 1926, the daughter of Paul and Nina S. Rhodes. She married George Robert “Bob” Pritchett in February of 1947 in the Christian Church of Illiopolis. She was a farmer’s wife and long time member of the church. Surviving are her daughter, Paula Pritchett; grandchildren, Thad Robert Coakley, Holli Lynn (Jason) Gettings, Aaron B. Bice and companion Michelle Locke, Cory Lee (Taylor) Pritchett, Cheyanne Claire Williams; great grandchildren, Elijah and Ethan Coakley, Kortni D. Bice, Emeli, Sydni, Zoi, Maci Gettings, MacKenzie and Addison Bice, Cory and Dillon Locke, Raylynn Nicole Shipman; great-great grandson, Aur’heir R. Barnes; niece, Deborah Sue Rhodes; and nephew, Harold Pritchett. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Darrell L. Rhodes and nephew, Richard Darrell Rhodes.
