Dawnette (Peanut) was a diva from the start—born to shine. As a little girl, she had to be part of everything, and she didn’t take no for an answer. Always one for a grand entrance, she quickly earned her nickname “Queen D,” confidently declaring, “I am beautiful and aren’t I beautiful?” And she truly was—inside and out. She was the life of the party a bright, beautiful soul with a personality that filled every room. Her laughter was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her eyes carried both warmth and light. She lived her life big full of glamour and bling. She enjoyed tanning, cooking for her family, decorating, and taking pictures. If you ask her daughter Delaney, she really loved making "cringy" Tik Toks.

Growing up Dawnette loved telling everyone she raised her brothers Andrew and Jashua and when they would get in trouble they would say "nah uh Dawnette raised us." She was their protector, their confidant, their safe place. Her nurturing spirit extended to everyone she loved. No one could deny that she was the backbone of her family—always strong, always smiling, even when carrying burdens no one knew about.

Dawnette was a devoted mother and her love for her children was nothing short of extraordinary—a radiant force that shaped every moment of her life. Her passion for motherhood shined in the way she encouraged their dreams, lifted them with her words, and wrapped them in unwavering support. Whether through small daily gestures or grand sacrifices, she gave all of herself to ensure her kids knew they were deeply cherished. She was their strongest advocate, fiercest protector, and most loyal fan. Her love wasn’t just felt—it was lived, poured out into every hug, every word of wisdom, every quiet prayer whispered on their behalf. Dawnette believed family before anything and loved her family wholeheartedly. She proudly wore her roles as a nurturing daughter, a protective sister, and a loyal friend. But her most powerful role was that of the family rock. She was the heart of her family, the glue that held everyone together.

A true fighter, she faced every challenge with determination and a quiet confidence that inspired all who knew her. Her strength and courage carried her through life’s hardest battles, yet her spirit remained full of grace, love, and hope. She was the kind of woman who gave love so freely, so fully, that you couldn’t help but be in awe by it. To be loved by Dawnette was to be wrapped in warmth, lifted by encouragement, and believed in completely.

But her story does not end here, it continues in the lives she touched and in the promise of a joyful reunion in Heaven. Her family will forever feel the absence of her loving presence, yet they find peace knowing she has gone home to be with her Savior.

Though our hearts ache, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the legacy of faith and love she leaves behind.
