Donna Lee Doty, 83 of Decatur, left to be with Jesus at 5:30 am. Monday, February 13, 2017 from Fair Havens Christian Home. Her loving family was by her side.\nFuneral service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at 11:00 am. Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Maranatha Assembly of God (555 West Imboden Drive, Decatur, IL., 62521) with Pastor Ron Howerton officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the service time at the church. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Maranatha Assembly of God or the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nDonna was born in Decatur in May of 1933 the daughter of Heilman (Jack) and Ruth Anne Hunt. Donna found much joy in singing and music. She played the piano and sang in choirs and groups and enjoyed participating in church plays. Donna was a former member of Life Foursquare Church and current member of Maranatha. She attended Richland Community College at the age of 48, obtaining her GED and working towards an Art degree. She worked in retail sales at Newman’s Department Store downtown Decatur and at the Hickory Point Mall.\nSurviving are her daughters, Victoria A. (Christopher) Gray, Valerie L. Chaney of Macon, IL., grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew and Caleb Gray, Tory Lee Stephens and Codi Lyn Mason, seven great grandchildren, brothers, Dale and Dell Hunt, sister, Jackie Yokley, many nieces, nephews and extended family.\nShe was preceded in death by her parents.\nDonna was a wonderful Mom, Nanny, Sister and Friend, a Godly woman who loved Jesus and her family. She will be deeply missed.
