Dorothy (Liz) Wetherholt- Rettke, 87 of Decatur passed on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Arc at Hickory Point.

A visitation will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 21, 2025, at First Christian Church (3350 N. MacArthur Rd. Decatur, Il 62526) and the funeral service begins at 11 am. Graveside and burial at North Fork Cemetery. Family request casual attire. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Liz was born in December of 1937, daughter of Shirley and Frances Burton. She married Larry Wetherholt in 1957, whom she raised five children with until he passed in 2007 and later married Albert Rettke in 2015. Liz was a member of First Christian Church, the group Sweet Adelines and sang her heart out for the Decatur Chorale. She loved spending time with her family, playing on the piano and bowling. Liz will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Survived by her husband Albert, her children; Troy (Marilyn) Wetherholt of Lincoln, IL, Steve (Kelli) Wetherholt of Decatur, Alan (Karla) Wetherholt of Decatur, Tina Wetherholt of Decatur and Eric (Tricia) Wetherholt of Decatur, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Preceded by both parents, her first husband Larry and brother James Burton.
