A Graveside Service and Burial\nFriday Afternoon, August 28, 2020\nBeginning at 2:00 p,\nMansfield Blue Ridge Township Cemetery\nMansfield, Illinois (near Farmer City)\nDouglas Martin Weidner, 62 of Decatur died Sunday August 9, 2020 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.\nA graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Mansfield Blue Ridge Township Cemetery near Farmer City, IL. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family with the arrangements.\nDoug was born in February of 1958 in Monticello, Illinois son of Edmond and Jan Weidner. He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. Doug worked at Bonanza Steak House, Miles Chevrolet, Red Bird, Tolly’s, ADM, ABR, Windmills and his own garage in auto repair. He was an honest, hard working and caring man. He enjoyed animals, fishing, old time TV shows and working on vehicles to play with, especially his Jeep. Country and Pop music was his choice of music with Hank Williams Jr. being his favorite music artist. Doug married Kathy in November of 1979.\nSurviving are his wife Kathy, daughter, Marilyn Kalina, four grandchildren, Austin, Ivy, Evan, and Emma, brother, Martin Weidner.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ricky, sister, Brenda, grandparents, Burl and Edith Wolf and Lyle and Evelyn Weidner.\n\nPlease hover below condolence text to highlight the "submit" button.\nThis information is given directly to the family.
