Elizabeth (Betty) Wolverton entered Heaven’s gates at 10:35 am, Sunday, February 11, 2024.

Services will be held at Resurrection Life Church (1085 W. McKinley Ave, Decatur, IL). Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, services will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and care is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born in March of 1945, to Elizabeth and Jesse Bolt. She attended Washington, John’s Hill and Eisenhower High. Also, Mt. Vernon Bible College. She married Willard J. Wolverton in August of 1960.
Betty was a member of International Church of Foursquare Gospel. She was a licensed, Ordained Foursquare Pastor. She Co-Pastured with her husband. They ministered at Fellowship Bible Church in Decatur, and Churches in Santa Cruz and San Fresno, Ca. She volunteered at the churches after school program in Fresno, The sack lunch program and the USDA hot lunch program. She loved antiques, reading, the ladies group, music, opera and live theatre.

After retiring, they lived in Fresno, California and Eagle Point Oregon. They returned to Decatur in 2016 where they attended Resurrection Life Church. Betty lived at the Oxford House. She loved the people there and was active with them.

Surviving Betty are her children, Daucy (Susan) Wolverton of Clovis, CA, Debbie Wolverton Beck of Fresno, CA, Todd Wolverton (Friend Rachael) of Oregon and Melody Wolverton of Fresno, CA, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, sister Lin (Jack) Vance and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, one grandchild, her parents, sisters Charlene, Beverly, Berneice, Donna and Rita and brothers Floyd, Loyd, James, Dennis, Raymond and John.

The family wished to thank ICU nurses, Naomi, Jesse, Brett, Angel, 5100 Nurse Diane and Dr. Verma.
