Eunice “Louise” Day passed away December 11, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois.\nPrivate family service will be held. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery Long Creek. Prayer service by Johnny Lee. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. \nLouise was born in October of 1933 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Grace P. Balding and Donald D. Newlin. She was raised by her grandparents. She married Virgil E. Day in September of 1956. They shared sixty years together. Louise worked at Fashionation, Turn Style and J.C. Penneys. She would wash clothes and iron them for 5 to 10 cents each. She enjoyed fishing and metal detecting with her husband. She enjoyed Bingo and being with her family.\nLouise is survived by her children, Becky (Mark) Medlock, Dennis Day of Decatur, Illinois, and David Borders. grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Mellott, Casey Medlock of Decatur, Illinois, Zachary (Alicia) Day of Mt. Zion, Illinois, Anthony (Kelly) Day of Waterloo, Illinois, and Callie Day of Florida. Two great grandkids, also her beloved dog Angel.\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil E. Day, son, Edward Eugene Day, parents, Grace Balding, Donald Newlin and siblings, Larry Balding and twins Ramond and Romona Balding.
