Gary Wesley McKinney passed away August 7, 2018 in the comfort of home. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 10 at 1 pm at Friends Creek Campground followed by a graveside service at Friends Creek Cemetery. Tanzyus-Logan is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Friends Creek Campground or National Brain Tumor Association.\nGary was born in October of 1944, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Elva Austin Holman and Jack W. Holman. Gary was adopted by his aunt and uncle Mabel and Harold McKinney. Gary was raised on a farm and was a graduate of Argenta-Oreana High School. Gary was a Vietnam veteran having served in the US Army, 37th Signal Battalion. Gary was a senior storehouseman at the Clinton Nuclear Power Plant, retiring in 2000. He loved camping, tractors, and his chorkie, Amigo.\nGary is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Marilyn; sons Mark (Rachael) McKinney and Eric (Michelle) McKinney, and daughter Marleah McKinney; grandchildren: Sierra, Raven, Jensyn, Hannah, Maya, Katie, and Jack. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Kevin.
