Jessica Trostle

Jessica Marie Trostle, 14 of Decatur departed her loving family Wednesday October 25, 2006 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Our little angel put up one courageous fight before leaving us very peacefully.

Jessica was born in July of 1992 in Decatur, Illinois to Barbara and Douglas Trostle. Living every day to its fullest she never let anything stand in her way. She attended Baum Elementary School and recently progressed to Stephen Decatur Middle School. It was no surprise to see Jessica with a smile on her face and a phone to her ear.

Surviving are her parents, Barbara and Douglas, her brothers and sisters, Michael, William, Jeannine, Timothy, Shawna, Sarah, Amy, and Kevin. She was a wonderful loving aunt to Gregory, Jordan, Jayce, Jayden, Kiersten and Caylee Mae. Jessica also had many other loved ones by her side daily. Her best friend Susie and her “worst nightmare” Missy Faye were among many nurses who spent time caring for her. She also had an excellent team of Doctors and Nurses at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (her home away from home).

We all know that Jessica is joining her grandmother Jessie Vanqulash, where they are going to run and play and be free spirits. Jessica was an angel that touched more hearts than she knew and for that we are all blessed.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday (October 29th) at Prairie Avenue Christian Church 2201 E. Prairie Ave. Decatur, IL. 62521. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
