Joshua “Josh” Lee Winters, age 41 of Shenzhen, China died at 6:20 pm. Saturday, March 27, 2021 in his home.\n\nA Family-led Memorial Service to celebrate Josh’s life will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 in the Cisco Community Center from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Pastor Carlton will be officiating. A private burial will be in Croninger Cemetery on Monday, June 21, 2021. Memorials may be made to Josh’s mother Debbie or his wife, Vanessa for his son Charles’ education.\n\nJosh was born in April of 1979 in Champaign, Illinois son of Ricky Lee Winters and Deborah Woodard.. He worked at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Willow Tree Missions, Dollar General and in schools in South Korea and China. Josh went to school in Monticello elementary and high school class of 1997. He graduated with a BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Josh loved playing baseball and football. He loved traveling around the country and abroad. Josh loved his family and how he would play with his son Charles. Josh liked his computers, record collection and his tools to build things and make art with. He had an electic taste in music. He liked music and art drawing and playing musical instruments like his guitar, he collects baseball cards, liked to build/create things and loved playing video games. Josh’s smile and his ability to keep calm in stressful situations will be missed the most. He married Vanessa Carla Winters in December of 2016.\n\nHe is survived by his wife, Vanessa, son, Charles, parents, Ricky and Debbie Winters.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Violet Winters.
