Joyce Fry

Joyce E. Fry, 54, of Decatur passed away 7:30 a.m. Saturday (March 4, 2006) in St. Mary's Hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Galilee Baptist Church, Decatur. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Family requests casual attire. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce was born in August of 1951, in Taylorville, the daughter of Richard W. and Doris (Van Horn) Fry. She was a longtime barber in Decatur. She considered her customers a big part of her family.

Surviving are her parents, Richard and Lois Fry of Stonington; sons, James A. (Paula) Bratcher Jr. of Missouri; David L. Bratcher of Decatur; daughters, Erica N. Garrett and fiancée Ralph and Ashley J. Garrett and fiancée Chad, all of Palm Springs, Calif.; brothers, Richard D. (Jane) Fry of Herrick; Gregory L. (Kim) Fry of rural Decatur; sister, Susan E. (Jerry) Pannbacker of rural Decatur; stepbrothers, Doug Heitz of Bradenton, Fla.; David Heitz of Columbia, Ky.; stepsisters, Karen (Roger) Norman, Kathy (Ralph) Hamman and Karol (Ray) Levey, all of Venice, Gla.; Kris (Roger) Carol of Flagstaff, Ariz.; Jaymie (Jason) Barringer of Decatur; grandchildren Heather, Destinie, David Jr. and Corianna, all of Decatur; many dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Cardoso; grandmothers and grandfathers.

She will be greatly missed by us all. We love you, Joyce!
