Joyce I. Troxell, 89, of Macon, Illinois died Saturday September 15, 2018 in the Eastern Star Home Macon, Illinois.\nFuneral service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be 11:00 am. Wednesday September 19, 2018 at Elwin United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour before service time at the church. Burial will be in Macon Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Elwin United Methodist Church. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nJoyce was born in Decatur, Illinois in March of 1929 daughter of Ralph and Ruth Price. She graduated from Macon High School. Joyce worked for J.C. Penny in sales and was a homemaker. She married Leon Troxell in January of 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2012. She loved music and was active in the church choir, and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was active in WSCS, Home Extension and a 4H leader.\nSurviving are her daughters, Marsha (Russell) Hedges, Gayle (Brian) Albert of Macon, Illinois, grandchildren, Stephanie Tomlinson, Stacey Randol, Nicole Albert-Canaday, Clint Albert, great grandchildren, Avery, Piper, and Jace Canaday, three step-grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren and one step- great great grandson.\nPreceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Virginia Wilking, brothers, Lyle and Dale Price, son Ron Troxell.\nThanks to all the staff at Eastern Star for taking such good care of our Joyce. She loved you.
