Judith Ann Castile, 83, of Decatur died in her home on Friday, December 17, 2021 with her daughter Catherine and son-in-law Jesse by her side.\n\nJudi was born in July of 1938 in Decatur Illinois, daughter of Vern L. Hanson and Genevieve C. Hanson. She attended Decatur High School. Judi worked as a bartender at the Blue Mill, Brown Jug, and Nino’s. She cleaned houses and was a courtesy driver for the railroad. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.\n\nSurviving are her daughter Catherine Walston (Jesse) of Decatur, IL; Doug Mendenall of Decatur, IL; Dennis Mendenall of Unicoi, TN; grandchildren: Michael, Paul, Jami, Macy, Kris, Aaron, Zoe, Melissa, Emily, Hannah, and Kevin; Nineteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her feline best friend “Nugget” of 12 years.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tom, and husband David Castile.\n\nJudi will be laid to rest next to her husband David in Bumpus Mills, TN at a future date.
