Larry Lee Thomas, 88 of Decatur passed on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at home.

A service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at a later date. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting with the arrangements.

Larry was born in November of 1937, in Augusta, Indiana son of Granis and Vona Thomas. He married the love of his life Sieglinde Meier Niekrenz in July of 1985. Larry retired from AE Staley after thirty-nine years of service. Larry will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Sieglinde, two sisters; Nancy Gilmour and Sandra Miller, many nieces and nephews; especially Vickie, Perry and Bonnie.

Preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers.
