Larry Alan McGeehon, 68 of Decatur died in his home at 6:53 am Friday October 15, 2021 with his family by his side.\n\nA Visitation and Service to Celebrate Larry’s life will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Gateway Community Center (1145 East Cantrell Decatur, IL. 62521). Pastor Wray Offermann will speak at 6:00 pm. Larry’s wishes were to be cremated following the service. Memorials if desired may be made to Cancer Care Center of Decatur. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\n\nLarry was born in Decatur son of Clarence and Shirley McGeehon in October of 1952. He graduated in 1971 from Stephen Decatur High School. Larry worked as a valve repairman for twenty-three years at ADM. He worked for Pla Mor Lanes Bowling Center for seventeen years. Larry was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. He married Virginia L. Hauck in June of 1981.\n\nSurviving is his wife Virginia, son Larry McGeehon Jr., of Decatur, sister, Debbie Edwards of Rantoul, brother, Steve (Lillian) McGeehon of Wichita Falls, Texas, nephew, Adrian Edwards.\n\nLarry was preceded in death by his Parents, and step-son, Wayne May.
