Lawrence Eugene Taylor "Catfish", 32, of Decatur passed away on Friday July 12, 2019.\nServices to celebrate the life of Lawrence will be held Friday, July 19 at Summit Avenue Baptist Church, 1715 N. Summit Ave. Decatur, Illinois. Service will be at 1:00 pm with visitation starting three hours prior at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Mr. Tim Carr will be officiating. In lieu of card or flowers, monetary donations may be made to Jennifer Taylor, Lainey Taylor, and Logan Bragg.\nLawrence Taylor was born in October of 1986, son of Robin Legendre and Lonnie. On September 15, 2018 Lawrence married Jennifer. He worked as a drill operator at Yazel Utility Construction. In his early life, Lawrence was a troublemaker, causing lots of mischief. He enjoyed going fishing, even earning himself the nickname “Catfish,” loved carpentry, and was an avid Macon Speedway fan. He enjoyed anything country and had a smile and loving heart that will be missed by everyone. But most of all, he loved being the best daddy to Lainey and step-dad to Logan.\nLawrence is survived by his wife of eight months, Jennifer Taylor; daughter Lainey Taylor; step-son Logan Bragg; Parents Robin Legendre and Lonnie Taylor; Siblings Mae Taylor (Adam Lear), Johnathan Legendre, Mary Quick (Sam), Billie Jo Taylor, Arianna Legendre, Loni Jo Taylor, Jason Bragg (Valena), and Joel Castro; Grandparents Lawrence and Ruth Taylor, and Kay Taylor; Great Grandma Enace Martin; Bonus Mom and Dad Mike and Michelle Taylor; bonus brothers Nathan Taylor and Doug; In-Laws Harry Bragg (Karen) and Sharon Bennett; four nieces, ten nephews, many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and many more loved ones. He had so much family in order for everyone to be listed we would need a novel.\nLawrence was preceded in death by his daughter Lakoda Lynn Taylor; Grandparents Felix Legendre and Richard Mills, Uncle Mike Legendre, great uncle Ervin Martin, nephew Antonio Quick and sister-in-law Jamie Abreu-Castro.
