Lorna Jene Ellis, 76 of Boody, Illinois died Thursday September 3, 2026, in her residence surrounded by her family.

A family led memorial service will be held 2:00 pm. Saturday 12, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Macon, with Pastor Ed Cain officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to the family C/O Jim Ellis. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting with the arrangements.

Lorna was born in October of 1949, in Livingston, Illinois, the daughter of Loren and Billie Cox. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1967. Lorna was a self-employed private caretaker. She married James Ellis in 1968 and celebrated 58 years together.

She is survived by husband, Jim, sons, Corey Ellis, Keith (Rebecca) Ellis, daughter, Rachel (Curtiss) Lindsey, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Valerie (Steve) Merritt, Lisa (Gary) Iler, brother, Mark Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jim Ellis II, infant son, Douglas, siblings, Jim Cox and Cathy Gritton.
