M. Lucille Johns, age 96 of Lee’s Summit, MO, formerly of Decatur, died Thursday, April 20, 2017.\nFuneral service to celebrate Lucille’s life will be 11:00 am. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church (1503 N. Summit Avenue, Decatur, IL 62526). Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church or the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nLucille was born in June of 1920 in Morrisonville, IL., daughter of Joe and Stella McReynolds. She lived in Oconee and graduated from Pana High School. While living with distant relatives Gus and Edith Belt in Normal, IL, she worked for the 1st Steak and Shake Restaurant. She worked for State Farm Insurance Co. in Bloomington, IL, the University of Illinois at Champaign, IL, and Magnolia Oil Co. of Dallas, TX. Lucille married Fred Johns in February of 1946. Together they owned and operated service stations in Decatur. Fred preceded her in death in July of 2008.\nSurviving are her son, Richard “Dick” (Susie) Johns of Lee’ Summit, MO, grandchildren, Jarrett Chase and fiancée Tina Boll, Lisa Chase, Tyler (Molly) Johns and Cory Johns, great grandchildren, Donovan Chase, Haley Chase, Callie Mae Johns, Easton Fred Johns and Kaitlynn Stay.\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Linda Chase and one brother.
