Zion, IL.\nMargery’s graveside service will be Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of arrangements.\nMargery was born in August of 1930 in Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Leona Burgener. She lived on East Clay Street in her early life and went to Decatur High School. She worked at Illinois Bell and Telephone Answering Service. She married Robert Dotson.\nShe is survived by her sons: Rick (Debbie) Dotson and Randy Dotson; brother, Bobby Burgener; Grandchildren, Jessie Dotson, Danny Dotson, Roxie (Graham) Danyus, Blake (Amanda) Dotson; Great Grandchildren, Eli, Beau, Maci, and Lyla.\nMargery was preceded by her husband, Robert Dotson; brothers, Chuck Burgener and Harry Burgener.\nMargery was known for her generosity, making great cookies, having two wonderful sons, four grandkids and four great grandkids. She was an amazing grandmother.\nHer favorite song was “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole and her favorite saying was “Go, Cubs, Go!” Margery was a very good artist and she loved staying active with her art and music. Margery did nothing for herself and gave all she had to others.
