Marian Eileen Braughton, 81 of Decatur died Sunday, May 14, 2017 in St. Mary’s Hospital.\nGraveside service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound, IL. There will be no visitation. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nMarian was born in Decatur, IL, in April of 1936 the daughter of Homer and Ethel Varvel. She graduated from Old Stephen Decatur High School. Marian worked as a bar tender in her younger days and was a home maker for the last 25 years. She married Harold Burrows in December of 1953. She later married Jack Braughton. Marian enjoyed rummage sales, decorating her home and watching Wrestling on TV.\nSurviving are her children, Debbie (Larry) Creek and Charles Burrows of Decatur, grandchildren, Sherry Clark, Phillip (Dena) Creek, great grandchild, Dylan.\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bernard and Wade Varvel and sister, Geri Norbits.
