Mary Suzanne (Kensil) Fritz, 68, passed into Heaven on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.\nVisitation for Suzanne will be on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Boiling Springs Church of God (2350 Boiling Springs Road, Decatur, Illinois) from 4:00 pm-5:30 pm with a memorial service at 5:30 pm at the church. Pastor Mark Phillips will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs Church of God. Burial will be on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 am in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, Illinois. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is handling the arrangements.\nSuzanne was born November 26, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mary Kensil. She married Gary K. Fritz in January o 1971. He is deceased. She is survived by daughter, Mary (Chad) Luttrell of Decatur, Illinois, son, John (Bobbie) Fritz of Findlay, Illinois; grandchildren Connor Luttrell, Chloe Luttrell, and Garrett Fritz. Also surviving are sisters and brothers, Barb Kensil of Decatur, Illinois, Ed (JoAnne) Kensil of Southside, Alabama, Ruth (Steve) Snyder of Dunlap, Illinois, and Dwight Kensil of Decatur, Illinois. She was preceded by her husband, Gary K. Fritz; parents, John and Mary Kensil; and grandparents.\nSuzanne graduated from MacArthur High School, class of 1967, Decatur, Illinois; graduated from Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois, was a concert pianist; babysat and later in life she was a nurse’s assistant. She played the piano for Governor Jim Thompson’s inaugural ball.\nShe loved watching her grandchildren play sports, loved God and her church, jewelry, cosmetics and bling sandals. Suzanne was strong, tough, reliable, loving, caring, religious, faithful, and considerate. Her beautiful smile will be missed greatly.
