Rudy Rademacher
November 10, 1964- November 29, 2025

Mike “Rudy” Rademacher, 61, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 29, 2025, following a brief illness. His sudden departure has left his family and friends deeply shocked and heartbroken.

Born on November 10, 1964, in Decatur to Frances Isabelle and Roy Aden Rademacher, Rudy grew into a man whose life reflected the heart of his faith. A devoted Christian, he faithfully sent daily devotionals—often before dawn—to more than thirty people, ensuring that those he loved began each day grounded in prayer and the Word. Rudy lived quietly, humbly, and generously, giving without seeking acknowledgment. Whether volunteering at his church or mowing lawns for those who needed a helping hand, he embodied a servant’s spirit.
Rudy’s greatest joy was found in his family. His wife and children were the center of his world, and he poured his heart into every moment shared with them. He loved coaching at MacArthur High School (football and basketball), Eisenhower High School (football), and Mt. Zion Junior High (basketball) his children, investing in the lives of children with the same steady faith and kindness he offered everyone he met. Professionally, Rudy served as a facilities manager at Hickory Point Bank and previously at ADM for a combined thirty-eight years. He worked at the ADM Wellness Center for many years as well. He was deeply respected for his diligence, integrity, and the care he gave to every task. Those who worked with him knew he never thought of himself first; his instinct was always to serve.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Kelly (Brozio), their children, Aden and Emma, sisters Shirley and Donna, father-in-law Fred Brozio, mother-in-law Barb Brozio, sister-in-law Tracy Lowe (Tommy), brother-in-law Benjamin Rine (Amanda), nephew Ki Rine and nieces Arika Force (Cody) and Karmin Lowe. He is preceded in death by his parents, both sets of grandparents, and his sister Sara Grace. His absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew and loved him.

A service to honor Rudy’s life will be held on Friday, December 5 with visitation from noon -2 p.m. and funeral beginning at 2 p.m., both at the First Church of the Nazarene of Decatur located at 1177 W Hickory Point Road. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend. Contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene in his memory. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Rudy will be remembered for the love, joy, and light he brought into the world—reflections of his unwavering faith. We take comfort in the words of Matthew 25:21:
