Orris "Jim" Lilly Jr. Obituary (2019)

Orris James “Jim” Lilly , age 74 of Maroa, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 5, 2019. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Argenta Baptist Church (111 N. Route 48 Argenta, IL. 62501). Funeral service will be 11 am. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family C/O Olivia Lilly. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Jim was born in Mattoon, IL., son of Orris and Helen Lilly. He attended Sullivan High School and retired from Wallace Press in Clinton. He married the love of his life, Olivia Harrison in November in 1970. Jim enjoyed woodworking, hunting and reading, but above all serving the Lord. Having the lead role of “John Proctor” in “The Crucible” with Theater 7 in Decatur gave him great pleasure. Later he joined the Y-Players of Clinton for many productions. He is survived by his wife, Olivia, children, Jeanne Pearson of Florida, James David of Missouri, four grandchildren, Brianna, Alyssa, Jessica and Zach, one great granddaughter, Maeve, brothers, Sam and Tom of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents. We cherish our memories and rejoice in knowing, beyond any doubt, that we will see him again in Glory.
