Raymond D’Wayne “Ray” Hall, 80 of Decatur died in his residence on Sunday July 29, 2018 at 11:31 am. with his family by his side.\nA funeral service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at 11:00 am. Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (2727 North Union Boulevard Decatur, Illinois 62526) with Pastor Adam Ray officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service also at the church. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials may be made to the Northeast Community Fund. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nRay was born in April 19, 1938 in Cornell, Wisconsin the son of Victor and Hazel Hall. He worked as a reel builder for Essex Wire Company. Ray was a faithful volunteer with the Northeast Community Fund for many years. He was awarded the HSAC volunteer of the year award in. In December of 1963 he married Kathleen and they shared over fifty-four years together.\nSurviving are his wife, Kathleen, daughters, Tina Hall (Judge), Karen Hall, son, Mark Hall (Rachel), seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Leona Hall, grandson, Joshua Hall and brother, Leroy Hall.
