Richard Dean “Fuzzy” Mahon, 73 of Decatur died in his residence at 5:45 pm. Thursday, September 12, 2019 with his family by his side.\nGraveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Macon County Memorial Park with Military Rites by the Macon County Honor Guard. Pastor Richard Mogged will officiate. Memorials if desired may be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.\nRichard was born in December of 1945 in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois son of Lloyd D. and Mildred P. Mahon Sr. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked for the Wagner Casting Company for 38 years. Richard married Linda J. Law in May of 1969.\nSurviving are his wife, Linda J. Mahon; children: Anthony (Leslie Caulfield) Mahon, Michael (Amber) Mahon, Kelli Mahon; grandchildren: Alex, Mackenzi, Kegan and Lexi Mahon honorary grandchildren: Haley and Haven Caulfield; brothers: Leroy Mahon of Mt. Zion, Lloyd (Dawn) Mahon of Spaulding, Illinois; sisters, Sandra Hart of Boody, Pamela (Richard) Mogged of Decatur; sister-in-law: Rebecca (Daryl) Manning of Troy, New York; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, in-laws, Gene and Julia Law, brother, Charles Mahon, sister, Donna Johnson, brother-in-law, Paul Hart, sister-in-law, Lorene Mahon and nephew, Keith Mahon.\nHe was a great husband, father, grandpa, and brother who will be deeply missed.
