Richard Leon “Lonnie” Trueblood, 64 of Decatur died Sunday, August 25, 2019 in Decatur Memorial Hospital ICU surrounded by his family.\nA family led memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held 11:00 am. Friday August 30, 2019 at Tabernacle Baptist Church (650 N. Wyckles Road Decatur, Illinois 62522). Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral costs. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family with the arrangements.\nRichard was born in October of 1954 in Pana, Illinois the son of Richard J. and Helen Trueblood. He graduated from Macon High School and has worked as a carpenter for over twenty five years with Cooper Bros. Construction. He loved camping and fishing with family and friends.\nSurviving are his daughter, Alisha Trueblood, son, Tabian Trueblood, grandsons, Siegel E, Grimes and Braden L. Grimes, sister, Sue (Jack) Prasun, brothers, Sandy (Debbie) Trueblood, Dale (Marlene) Trueblood, Dan (JoAnn) Trueblood, nephews, Mike (Tammy) Prasun, Shawn (April) Prasun, Matt (Michelle) Trueblood, step-nephew, Joshua Bushnell, nieces, Kelly (Blake) West, Trisha Trueblood, several great nieces and great nephews, close friend Peggy Lee.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
