Robert (Bob/Bobby) Earl Willis, Jr., 58, passed on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 3:04 am in Decatur Memorial Hospital.\n\nBob was born in September of 1962, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Robert E. Willis Sr., and Alice M. Mason Willis. He was the third of four children - Mary Murphy, Vickie McCoy, Robert Willis, Jr., and Tamera Willis. He graduated from Lakeview High School, Decatur. Bob drove a semi truck for Van Horn, Cerro Gordo, IL.\n\nThere will be a service at a later date. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family with arrangements.\n\nBobby is survived by his daughter, Katie Willis; Pennsylvania sisters, Mary Murphy, Vickie McCoy, Tamera Willis; Nieces and Nephews, Nicolette McCoy, Dusty McCoy, Travis McCoy, Dana Hays, Tristan Rupert, and Trenton Purcell. Also included are his long time best friends, Jeff Allyn, Tim Logsdon, James Nugent, Eric Yutzy, Daniel Helphrey, Patricia and Sue Helphrey.\n\nHe was preceded by his Mother Alice Willis and Father Robert E. Willis, Sr.\n\nBob loved to laugh, joke around, had a gentle soul and enjoyed his Rock & Roll and friends.\n\nBobby’s favorite things were going to rock concerts and listening to hard rock/metal music. He was an avid Cub fan and liked collecting rock memorabilia. He used to have Lionel train and tracks that he set up. His family and friends will miss his laugh and his sweet personality the most.
