He never met a stranger, as he always had stories and memories of his family and friends.

Rodney retired from Caterpillar after thirty plus years in 1995. Once retired, he worked at Trump Printing, Crown, and O’Reily’s doing what he loved, driving around and making deliveries. Rodney enjoyed working out in the garage whether it was working on a car or woodworking. Rod’s kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his pride and joy, attending their activities was the highlight of his week. He loved being able to go out and spend time with his family and friends.

Rodney was an avid race car fan from NASCAR to World of Outlaws to racing his own Corvettes. He was a member of several Corvette Clubs such as Vette Set Club, Central Illinois Corvette Club, Rolling Prairie Corvettes and Corvette Cruisers of Illinois. Among corvettes he had a love for Hot Rods, Street Rods and was an avid bowler. Rodney will be remembered by his love, kindness and joy he brought to everyone else.
