Stuart (Stu) Lynn Boliek 76, of Decatur passed away at 3:35 am on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service to celebrate Stu’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 18, 2025, at New Day Community Church (4191 Greenswitch Rd. Decatur, Illinois 62526). Memorials can be made out to the Cancer Care Specialist of Illinois. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

Stuart was born in November of 1948 in Decatur, son of Paul and Ruth Boliek. He attended Stephen Decatur High School, served in the United States Air Force and worked with sheet metal at Vega Enterprizes. Stuart married Mary in 1974 sharing a life together until she passed in 2014. He was a member of the New Day Community Church. Stuart was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Illini Basketball fan enjoyed his walks at the Disc and loved to socialize with his family and friends.

Survived by his daughter Mollie (Deron) Boliek-Crews of WA, fiancé B.J. Wade of Decatur, brother Mike (Alice) Boliek of Decatur, sister Becky Bailey of Ohio, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded by his parents, wife Mary, sister Carlotta and son Kelly Boliek.
