Suzanne Lynn Keller, 40, of Decatur passed away at 6:46 pm. Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side

A funeral service to celebrate Suzanne’s life will be held at 10:00 am. Friday December 8, 2023, at the Illiopolis Christian Church (304 Anne Street Illiopolis, IL. 62539) with Pastor Melissa Ebken officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm. Thursday December 7, 2023, also at the church. The burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery Decatur. Memorials may be made to Suzanne’s family. Suzanne was born in August of 1983, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Wayne Kissinger and Sherry Jones. She grew up in the mountains of Tennessee until middle school where a job transfer brought the family to Maroa, Illinois. Suzanne graduated from Maroa Forsyth High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Millikin University and master’s degree in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. Suzanne was a strong, intelligent, kind and compassionate young lady. A core childhood memory was pushing a motorless three-wheeler up the mountain, climbing on and riding all the way down. Suzanne loved the Pittsburg Steelers, Eric Church, her 8 chickens and fish tacos! The sunshine and her daughters brought her joy. She was often caught singing “Victory in Jesus”, her favorite hymn.

Surviving are her husband Kyle Keller, daughters, Madalyn and Natalie, her parents, her brothers, Craig Kissinger and Steven Kissinger, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her brother Wayne Kissinger Jr., and her sister, Kimberly Kissinger.
