Timothy Edward Murray, 64, of Macon, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 3:08 P.M. at Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center in Moweaqua, IL.\n\nGraveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 10, 2022, at Macon Cemetery, with Pastor Chris Ruehle officiating. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care in Decatur is in charge of arrangements at 2442 N. Route 121, Decatur, IL.\n\nTim was born in August of 1958, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, the son of Edward and Frances Murray.\n\nTim loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed auto racing, listening to music, and the St. Louis Cardinals.\n\nHe retired in March 2022 from factory work.\n\nTim is survived by his children; Trent Murray of Gibson City, Lacee Murray of Maroa, and Larissa Murray of Champaign. His brothers; Grady T. (wife Paula) Murray of Lovington, and Robert H. (wife Candice) Murray of Moweaqua; and sisters, Sharon A. (husband Robert) Grobelny of Decatur, Patricia M. (husband Michael) Rhoades of Hillsboro, and Connie F. (husband Todd) Myers or Moweaqua. One Granddaughter.\n\nHe is preceded in death by his parents, brother John M. Murray, and grandparents John and Anna Murray, and Hallie and Violet McQuality.\n\nMemorials can be made to Macon Fire Department, or Cancer Care Center of Decatur.\n\nThe family would like to thank HSHS Hospice and Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center.
